Like you,
I never expected to feel like I did on having children
I loved my job, had a great career ahead of me and I knew what "success" was. I was a Big-4 Transformation Director and Exec Leadership Coach, I was thriving both personally and professionally.
Yet on becoming a mother, I was unsure how I was going to juggle everything. I realised my values, priorities and perspectives had all changed. I was also concerned about burning out; I had 3 children under 4 and an all-consuming senior leadership role. I didn't know how I could be the mum or woman I aspired to be. I was suffering the "Inner Split" and was grieving my old pre-children life.
It wasn't until I learnt about the word Matrescence did I start to thrive again!
